Classical
Robert frequnetly plays in churches for sunday services as well as weddings and funerals. He also plays with brass ensembles, wind ensembles or orchestras and in 2019, he was a featured soloist with the Symphony of the Mountains from Kingsport Tennessee.
Jazz/Rock/Pop/Funk
Over the years, Robert has played with funk bands, soul groups, rock bands and pop bands. He also plays with jazz combos and big bands, and in 2018, he performed internationally with the Appalachian State University Jazz Ensemble 1.
Teaching
Robert Carmichael earned his undergraduate degree in Music Education from Appalachian State University in 2020. He has taught musicians of all ages as well as led a variety of music classrooms, including choral, orchestral, jazz, wind ensembles and music theory classes.
